Selection Process

Jindal Global University (JGU) pursues a holistic admissions policy for most programmes. A holistic admissions policy seeks to understand the whole applicants beyond numbers and asks whether a applicant will be a good fit in a programme and whether they will thrive. This is in keeping with best practices of international universities and allows us to select the best applicants for our programmes.

Faculty Interview (In Person or Remotely)

*

This is the most important part of the application process. Applicants who get to this round will have an interview with a member of the faculty for their respective schools. There is no set format for these interviews, but it is a chance for the faculty to ask the applicant questions and the applicant to find out more about a programme from someone directly. Emphasis in these interviews is placed on oral communication, confidence, curiosity, clarity of expression, and nuanced thinking.

Some applicants may be asked to complete a second interview**. This does not mean that the applicant is a weak applicant. Sometimes faculty request an additional opinion or want the applicant to speak to faculty member aligned to the applicant’s interests.

* Some programmes require Delhi / NCR applicants to come for an on-campus interview. Please see your respective programmes for more information.

** The second interview will be held in the following Admissions Cycle.

Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test (JSAT)

If you have not taken or plan on taking the SAT, ACT, LSAT-India Examination (or UGAT for BBA and IBM programmes), then you will be required to complete the JSAT Examination. Please go to the JSAT Page for more information.

.

Successful Applicants are required to pay the Refundable Registration Fee*for their programme to secure their seat by the deadline.
